Innovative BIM Co-ordinator – pivotal role in delivering exceptional project outcomes

We are seeking a dedicated BIM Co-ordinator to join our team and play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional project outcomes through proficient user support and expertise in Revit project delivery. The ideal candidate will have a solid grasp of BIM processes and a knack for digital coordination, ensuring adherence to specific project client requirements.

BIM Co-ordinator Responsibilities:

  • Offer technical support to project team members and provide valuable feedback on training, workflows, and content requirements.
  • Oversee initial project setup, maintain project BIM models, and associated support documents, while conducting BIM coordination exercises.
  • Conduct training sessions for project team members and monitor BIM model performance to ensure compliance with internal and project standards.
  • Drive office digital practice development, contributing to knowledge transfer and ongoing education initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with the project team and receive support from the practice’s digital practice group.

Overall BIM Co-ordinator Responsibilities:

Technical:

  • Contribute to the development and compliance of project BIM Execution Plans.
  • Develop, coordinate, publish, and verify model information in alignment with project requirements.
  • Attend project team BIM meetings and liaise with peers to ensure seamless coordination.
  • Prepare and facilitate the use of composite design models for coordination meetings.
  • Manage correct classification of model elements for downstream use and maintain project content.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and prioritise duties effectively, especially under pressure.

Management:

  • Provide daily management and support for BIM project workflows, ensuring ongoing maintenance.
  • Manage and coordinate BIM file exchange methods and ensure compliance with project milestones.
  • Oversee technical management of project BIM datasets and verify data extraction meets project standards.
  • Offer daily support to the internal project team, promoting adherence to best practices.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Hold an industry-recognised qualification with at least 5 years of experience in design or construction practice.
  • Possess a strong understanding of the BIM process with proven experience in BIM project coordination.
  • Proficient in Autodesk Revit Architecture; familiarity with CAD coordination applications such as Navisworks, Revitzo, Solibri is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills and approachability, with a commitment to supporting the Revit project team.
