BIM Technician to join our vibrant team in London

BIM Technician Summary:

The BIM Technician, reporting to the BIM Lead, will play a pivotal role in establishing and managing a comprehensive studio-wide library and family creation. Additionally, there is an opportunity for the BIM Technician to spearhead a challenging project on BIM Level 2 in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage, expand, and audit the studio’s Revit library. Develop custom Revit families tailored to project requirements. Assist architects and designers in asset creation. Contribute to the development of new workflows and related guidelines. Provide one-on-one mentoring on best practice workflows. Collaborate with the BIM lead on project strategies and model setup. Audit and troubleshoot Revit models.

Project-related Tasks:

Contribute to project packages in Revit. Create Revit content for planning applications, tender documents, or construction stages as needed.


  • Degree in a relevant field such as architectural technology, architecture, construction, or BIM technology.
  • Strong understanding of building codes and industry standards.
  • Excellent proficiency in Autodesk Revit for architecture.
  • Advanced skills in family creation, auditing, and editing.
  • Thorough understanding of parametric modeling principles.
  • Ability to create complex assets using a simplified approach.
  • Capability to coach others on family creation and editing processes.
  • Good knowledge of ISO19650 standards and documentation.
  • Previous experience working with Cobie data sets and clash detection workflows.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Navisworks, and other related software.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced proficiency in MS Excel. Good understanding of Rhinoceros 3D. Familiarity with scripting plugins such as Dynamo, Grasshopper, and Python. Experience in a BIM 360 environment. Proficiency with visualisation plugins like Enscape or Twinmotion. Experience with other Autodesk software. Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign.
