Associate Landscape Architect – lead our London-based Landscape Architect team

We are embarking on Plan25 and are currently seeking an Associate Landscape Architect to lead our London-based Landscape Architect team. This role is ideal for a seasoned Senior Landscape Architect in the South-East region looking to take the next step in their career, or for an Associate Landscape Architect seeking new challenges within a multi-disciplinary consultancy.

About the Associate Landscape Architect Role

Reporting to the Director for Landscape Architecture, you will be part of our collaborative environment, offering genuine opportunities for professional growth.

Key Associate Landscape Architect Role Responsibilities

  • Maintain service quality and foster client relationships to secure repeat business, engaging in business development activities.
  • Lead design teams and liaise directly with clients, occasionally serving as Client Account Manager.
  • Participate in staff recruitment as needed.
  • Oversee and coordinate complex projects.
  • Manage day-to-day scheduling, staff resources, and team utilisation.
  • Provide pastoral care for staff, including appraisals and reviews.
  • Promote training and development within the team.

Qualifications and Skills


  • Strong organisational, communication, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Proven design abilities and enthusiasm for cross-disciplinary collaboration.
  • Self-driven, honest, and reliable, with a commitment to integrity.
  • Ability to motivate and manage teams, addressing project challenges effectively.
  • Capacity to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to engage effectively with various departments across the organisation.
    Full alignment with our ethos and business objectives.


  • Degree in Landscape Architecture and substantial experience in a relevant role.
  • Chartered membership of the Landscape Institute (LI).
  • Solid knowledge of contract administration, particularly NEC and JCT.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft/AutoCAD/Revit and other relevant software.
  • Demonstrated capability in managing major projects and clients.
  • Strong technical construction knowledge and understanding of statutory legislation and regulations.
